IGBC (Indian Green Building Council)

The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) is a division of CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) that develops and administers India-localised green building rating systems. Its portfolio includes IGBC Green Interiors and LEED India (developed in partnership with USGBC) — both directly applicable to corporate fit-out projects.

IGBC Green Interiors is designed specifically for Cat B fit-outs and is structured around Indian material availability, local climate zones, and NBC compliance. Certification is available at Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels. For Indian-headquartered companies that want a credible sustainability credential without the full cost of LEED international administration, IGBC Green Interiors is often the most practical choice.
