Fit-Out

A fit-out is the process of transforming a raw or base-level commercial shell into a fully functional, furnished, and finished workplace. The term covers all internal works: partitions, ceilings, flooring, electrical and data infrastructure, HVAC distribution, joinery, furniture, signage, branding, AV, and commissioning.

In Indian commercial practice, fit-out work is broadly categorised by its starting point: bare shell, warm shell, Cat A, or Cat B. The cost and timeline of a fit-out depends heavily on which of these starting points applies to the leased space.
